Mastering the Call to Action

Digital Advertising in Albany means nothing if you don't understand how you can use your Call to Actions or (CTA's), because a Call to action can possibly be the easiest way for you to develop a lead. It can make or break depending on how weak or strong your CTA is, therefore I would like to give you a few tips to make sure that you are doing the best you can to grow your brand and generate those all-important leads.

Wording

Really basic, stay clear from common words that are going to make you seem desperate or like you are pushing for a sale. For example, picking between the words, 'buy' and 'shop' as a CTA, one might imagine that they each mean the same thing. But you will have to understand that many people on the web often avoid commitment, and so subconsciously even there is a tendency for most people to think that the word 'buy' is locking them into something, though 'shop' is a way for them to find out more details. The issue I am attempting to make is that you really will need to think of the wording and avoid words that have unintended implications.

Shape and Colour

It may seem strange, but Shape and colour of your CTA can affect its effectiveness. In the world of Digital Advertising there have been a lot of reports into the notion of design and its affect upon a customer's perception, and essentially one theory claims that curves are the leading way to go. So, if you want to try and optimise even further, think about making the button for your call to action curved, rather than a square.

Now, colour, this is one more area that there are a few theories on. Some people will have you think that green is wonderful because it indicates 'go', but to avoid red because it is 'stop', or that blue is calming so it should make customers more relaxed ... Ultimately there really isn't any conclusive evidence to suggest one option over another, so just select what works best for your style. One thing that I will mention though is that you should be aware of the font size and colour-- If you want your digital advertising to be most helpful in the Albany area, it is a good idea to try and keep it different from the rest of your content, but don't go too wild.

Location

Where your call to action is set is quite important to digital advertising results.

All that I mean by this is see to it that you don't have it tucked away behind-the-scenes somewhere, or that you have way too much text that is convoluting the Call to action.

Eventually it all comes down to identifying the combination that helps you, remember your wording, shape, colour, size and placement of your brand's Call To Action, and when you bring all the components together just think basic and think about your client.

Enhancing your Online Sales with good CTA's.
